No, I am not. I simply refuse to pretend everybody in Detroit is having their water cut off when they are not. I refuse to pretend that Detroiters shouldn't have to pay their water bill like the rest of us.

this is not a third world country. (some may disagree) if some people cannot pay i think an arrangement should be worked out.
i do not want to share a city with folk who cannot wash or clean. public life and public health are affected.

I think water should be a right.. the city should foot the bill.. up to a certain amount of water per month though.. but along with that would have to come legislation about not using potable water for washing cars.. and washing down sidewalks and whatnot.. the amount of wasted fresh water is really a problem. We need access to non-potable water also.. water we can use for non-drinking uses. Also.. rain-collection equipment should be installed on every roof.. along with solar panels.. the waste has to be dealt with first.
