    Peace and Blessings Family,

    Are there water alternatives?

Are there things one can do if they find themselves without an abundant supply of fresh water?

Water hasn't always been piped right into our homes, what did folk do in times gone by?

At any given moment, there are folk who can cut off your water.

If they cut off your water, with no intention of turning it back on, what would you do to survive?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atmospheric_water_generator
An atmospheric water generator (AWG), is a device that extracts water from humid ambient air. Water vapor in the air is condensed by cooling the air below its dew point, exposing the air to desiccants, or pressurizing the air. Unlike a dehumidifier, an AWG is designed to render the water potable. AWGs are useful where pure drinking water is difficult or impossible to obtain, because there is almost always a small amount of water in the air that can be extracted. The two primary techniques in use are cooling and desiccants.

The extraction of atmospheric water may not be completely free of cost, because significant input of energy is required to drive some AWG processes, sometimes called "trading oil for water". Certain traditional AWG methods are completely passive, relying on natural temperature differences, and requiring no external energy source. Research has also developed AWG technologies to produce useful yields of water at a reduced (but non-zero) energy cost.

California grapples with scarce natural water resource ...

Unlike Detroit, California is having drought problems and recommend efficient and transparent management, nevertheless; but this certainly is not the case in Detroit, the price for water is beyond the recommended 2% and upwards to 20% per customer. Transparency is desperately needed in the Motor City and only the Governor, at this point, can fix the problem:

"If you have a really scarce natural resource that the state's economy depends on, it would be nice to have it run efficiently and transparently," said Richard Howitt, professor emeritus at the University of California, Davis.

Seems as if I wrote about all of this some years ago. Between me and Oldsoul, I know we did this. there was even a video called Blue Gold and videos on here by Sister MONA HARRISON concerning the future plight of water in America. Black people simply aren't listening. We keep begging the government instead of looking within for the solutions we need. The government don't owe me jack ish !!!...and as far as I can recall, whatever they said that they owed us as a people, we never got it anyway....but we still beggin, right?? Water is the difference between life or death...in the words of James Brown "I don't want nobody to give me nothing, open up the door, I'll get it myself".

the government collects taxes. it owes services in return.

black people are ridiculed by other black people when we ask for the same service that everybody else gets.
    that is counter productive.

Just like the man at the store owes me groceries when I plop my dollars on the counter, the government owes me service when I pay my taxes.

you raised the issue of begging the government. the point is that it isn't begging to ask for a return on our tax dollars.
