Eykah Badu said Neo Soul is dead..perhaps it is..and these brothers are struggling for a sound to call their own since they were a big part of that so called genre.
I really really miss them though...*sighs*
I think the term Neo-soul is dead. But in my opinion, soul music whether it's new or old will never die if it's done right.
Maxwell should be out with something new soon...album 4 I think?
But I do wonder what happened to D'angelo, considering his VooDoo album was garbage...with the exception of HOW DOES IT FEEL? (and of course that was so hot!!! and his nakedness did help!)
D'angelo took 4-5 years before releasing his second album. I think he's too busy smokin out. Hopefully he'll be back soon. Carrie, you didn't like VooDoo? Man, I love that album. Send it on, One mo gin, Feel like makin love. His first one was a classic though. Did you hear his live cd? It has a cover of "Can't hide love" and "Heaven must be like this".
Maxwell is the man. I would think he'd be coming out with something soon. Hopefully. His music is always good.
Bilal too. Where's he at? It's been a good 3-4 years.
I hate the term NeoSoul because to me it's just real music. All these other singers need to be put in another category. Call it B/S Soul.
Okay. Forgot about those songs Kente. d'angelo just needs to fill a void in the music industry. I wish he'd make more music more often, i love his voice.
I used to like Bilal...
musik too. (or however he spells it)
Thats what i was wondering too..
I've been trying to get any news on maxwell but i havent got any so far, i heard he was supposed to release an album from Columbia Records this year, does he have a website or something? anyone!, bout D'angelo i havent heard him for a while.
