Left
Bereft
With no inner joy
Nor any distracting "Cheer"

Toiling too long
In a turbulent "Tide"
Broken and battered
In a violent "Surf"
Wondering with every gasping breath
Will the next be my last
As I am "Wisk"{ed} away....

Is this "ALL?"

Is there nothing more to "Gain?"

What, if any, new "Era" awaits me?

When will I repose, relax, and rejuvenate
Within the soft, gentle, tender "Downy"
Of a soul at peace

Be engulfed and luxuriate
In the calm, soothing presence
Of "Jasmine"-ladened nights
"Lavender"-filled evenings
"Vanilla"-perfumed days
Cleansed with "Fresh Rain"
And bask in
Warm Sunshine?

I want not just a diversionary "Trend"
But a heart and mind
Renewed and Still
In tranquil harmony....
