Black People : Was Frank Lucas a Black Hero or Leader?

Ankhur,

what would your opinion of Frank Lucas be if he had sold his dope to
white folks instead of black?.. and used the money to empower black
folks.. for schools and medical centers.. what if he was a Black Nationalist?

and... What does "progress as a people" look like down here on the
ground? Does it move so fast that you can track it from day to day? Did we
progress as a people yesterday?

what are you talking about do you know the history of Malcolm X?
do you think he just nade up that stuff in his autobiography?

Now if you think that folks in Harlem, and Bed Stuy, and chicago, and Phille and Newark, admire corruption ,and crime, because some have fallen into it then we, seem to hold the same stereotypes that white supremists have about us.

Come to the big cities and into the hard areas and the prison and juvenile center visits, and outreaches and talk to folks on the "Ground" as you say, and you will hear their hopes aspirations and values, and realize they are much different in real life then what Hollywood wants to tell one on television

I really don't know what you're saying.. but, I answered your question.. it would
by cyber-polite, if you answered mine. I don't recall saying anything about
Harlem and bed stuy and chicago.. I just asked you some questions, that if
answered would tell me a little more about what you're saying.. I live in the
City... on the ground.. I've spent time in the Los Cerros boys camp out here
volunteering talking to these young cats.. I've hired young guys through
work-release programs and listened to what they have to say.. but what
does any of that have to do with what I asked you? If your question are
rhetorical and you just want us to listen to you, then say that.. but if we
answer it would be nice if you did the same..

My apologies, I assumed that you read my purpose in making this post.

The point made , was to qestion the notion of "Black Folks Can Do No Wrong"
,, how can we progress as a people , like that?

To say that pimps and drug dealing in our community is wrong, is that hating on Black folks?

To say that corruption in politics, or preferential treatment to a neocon agenda, and the wealthy over the poor, hurts lives, is that hate?

This was a post regarding values clarification.

Will we be a race that feels "Anything Goes" as we go into 2010?
and that no behavior should be called into question or put in check?

For 8 years, rappers have looked up to "the Skull and Bones" men in Washington as the ultimate gangsters,
even made a fashion statement out of that symbol of death and decay(spiderwebs)

And with all due respect your question regarding a transformation , caused me to assume that you forgot where Malcolm came from and his experiences

"what would your opinion of Frank Lucas be if he had sold his dope to
white folks instead of black?.. and used the money to empower black
folks.. for schools and medical centers.. what if he was a Black Nationalist
"

What exactly did you mean by that so I can get a clearer understanding?
