On the bloody battle field
A young Warrior stood
And looked around to see
The mutilated dead bodies of fellow warriors

The sweat on her brow grew from the pulsing sun
Her knuckles went white
From clutching her sword
With all her remaining strength

She stood on the hill overlooking the field that became so many
Warriors grave
The wind blew her midnight black hair around her
As she walked away soaked in blood
With her sword at her side
That's when it came to her

She realized
What they were fighting for went
Beyond Glory
Beyond Strength
Beyond Honor
Beyond even life itself
