I can’t believe how mean you were
Saying things you knew would hurt
Making me cry
I wanted to scream
How on earth could you do those things

This isn’t supposed to break me down
Love isn’t supposed to sting
It’s a feeling that God gave to us
As we lay happily and dream

Of wondrous moments meant just for us
Things we do together
That make us laugh
Bring us to smile
Building a life forever

Think before you say
I can always walk away
I give good and expect good
There’s always a brand new day

I came so close to doing this
To actually leaving you
Why would you want to hurt my heart
What else am I to do

I wont stand and take this stuff
Keep testing me and see
You’ll push me right on out the door
I won’t be the same Stacie

Take some time to work it out
Do what you think is best
Shove your anger somewhere else
I wont be like the rest
