I just wanted to seal our memorable evening with a kiss
And she said no,
"People are watching…"
Then listed numerous inhibitions
But clearly wasn't ready for my persistence.

"From seeing the stars in your eyes,
I can be anywhere that life has taken me
Look at any star
And see the eyes of you…"

Needless to say,
I got my way
And made sure she got hers,
As she too wanted to seal our memorable night in a space
That was ours
Just away from the eyes that pray.

When my thinking is usually her way
I know it will result in
Me getting my way…
