    The darkness sits still there
    Where the winds' coolness ceases
to aim its breath upon my skin

    I'm aware of the
    pattern of leaves
    that linger on a creek
    right outside of your
    front door

    I hear the sounds of
    old newspapers
    as they float along
    the empty dark streets

    This earth has become
    so barren and dry
    but there is a patch
    of brown soil that
    turns so quickly
    into mud
    and it's all that you
    left me

    Walk me to the edge
    ...the edge of love
    that place where the
    sunlight no longer
    lives and will never
    kiss our skin
    or let us enter into
    the arms of her warm
    embrace

    Swing me to the
    rhythm of a broken
    metronome
    One that's no longer
    beating in time
    to the lost bright stars

    I'm going to remember
this moment just as it were

    Your smile
    ...bright

    Your hands
    trembling slightly

    as you paint the rooms
    inside my soul
    with the colors of blues
    that announce "you're sorry"

    Blue colors are yet
    a sunless day.

this title beckoned me hours ago, but

I could not read.... I confess I was afraid to be led back 'to the edge of love'.... after knowing the suffocating pleasure/pain of its eternal quicksand...

you are so intuitive on the deep things of the soul Ms. N2....thank you

    thank you

Your words are so true.... it's hard to think of this when it is a painful journey to somewhere where love does not return from!

Thanks for the read sistah friend!!
