i never meant to become your daydream on Mulberry Street

i thought for sure we could share some cookies n' cream so sweet

but instead i melted our desert with an irrisistable Heat

that came straight from Miami in my attempt to repeat

a right that went wrong when i discovered your beat

you played it so well that i still can't delete

the impression you made on my heart but i'm afraid i'll always see your feet

walking away with him singing songs

that left up to my imagination make it hard to believe that me and you

belong together
