Mentally, IM searching for someone who will understand
exactly who I am,
It'll be a mutual attraction between man and woman
Like the gravity from spaces black hole,
His light, I'll consume
Have thousands of ready-made stars festering in my womb.
I'm searching for one who has sight,
like a construction worker,
When its time to build
And if **** get hectic,
my man will be ready to kill,
for the sake of family
And for the love of me
This man would do anything,
Backup his words and proposed with
a wedding ring
And to my children, he'd be more then a father,
friends would consider him
somewhat a role model
Like Malcolm X, he'd help to enlighten are people,
put them on to "Black Pride"
Show them the importance of life;
teach us how to eat right,
Bring more to the table than beautiful love making,
deep Caribbean accent,
probably a Jamaican
Skin could reflect any characteristic of chocolate,
mind mad deep, no need
to see what's in his wallets
He'd be the one I'd long for when the heat is on,
anything could remind me of him
even a hip-hop love song, "The Light",
Like "Common", he'd possess mad sense,
put me on to coconut incense, and
teach me how to meditate,
Give me the best of " Nina Simone", on my birthday,
Quote me Sonia Sanchez
To inspire revolution…"
Tell me I should pray in my time of confusion,
mentally I'M searching for someone
who will understand…"IM looking,
IM waiting for a black man"
exactly who I am,
It'll be a mutual attraction between man and woman
Like the gravity from spaces black hole,
His light, I'll consume
Have thousands of ready-made stars festering in my womb.
