    Peace and Blessings Family,

    I just learned of this new law in Alabama, and i'm sure it's probably in other places too.

    Visitors to Alabama prisons will have fingerprints scanned

    Published: Friday, August 03, 2012, 5:30 AM

    Starting this weekend, relatives and others who visit inmates in Alabama prisons will have their fingerprints scanned so they can be accurately identified and checked in more quickly in the future, officials with the state prison system said.

    ::
    ::

    I also found this article ... Judge rules fingerprint jail security is unlawful

    TWO Scottish prisons are facing mandatory amendments to their security procedures following a legal ruling on the use of biometric fingerprinting. HMP Addiewell in West Lothian and HMP Kilmarnock in Ayrshire have for years insisted visitors complete a fingerprint scan on entry, but a lawyer has now successfully challenged the process under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).

    With our people disproportionately filling the prison system, we can guess who's visiting disproportionately, and who will be fingerprinted disproportionately ... even though they've committed no crime.

    Guilty until proven innocent.

    Love You!

    Rubbish.

    Decline the offer. Request a waiver.

    Sounds like a dragnet to me ....

    Peace

    Sounds like there's going to be a lot less inmates getting visitors. Cause you don't want to go visit, only to find out that your right to visitation is going to make you a vistee & you to now need someone to come to visit you because of your previous visit (s) to whomever you were initially visiting....

    LOL - if they do decide to go anyway, they better not stay too long and get out of dodge before those print's come back. :peekk:

    They're really trying to kill the Spirit of those incarcerated.

    Locking them up and throwing away the key is not enuff ... now your Momma gotta be subjected to all kinds of invasive procedures to even lay eyes on you.

    Won't nobody even know if you're living or dead for real.

    peace

    Not too mention the children of some of those inmates who will be traumatized by the experience. Can you imagine a 7 or 8 year old going to school and telling his friends how he got fingerprinted over the weekend when his mother took him to see his father in jail.

    Or, never forget that now that they will be fingerprinted and have a record (without actually doing anything wrong), it could cause them not to get certain jobs even though they were just visiting someone.

    That you know people in prison will scare most employers.

    lol - next thing you know they'll have a fingerprinting class incorporated into this mis-educational system.

    My cousin went to take the C.O. test years ago and he said before they even handed out the test, the officer gave an announcement that went a li'l sumptin' like dis:

    "IF YOU HAVE ANY OUTSTANDING WARRANTS I SUGGEST THAT YOU GET UP AND LEAVE NOW"

    My cousin said that when he turned to look around, half the people in the classroom there to take the test got up and walked out of the room.

    Now that I think on this more, my question is, "Can they do that?"

    Sounds like something worthy of test in a court to me.
