***Disclaimer...this is stuff from my OLD notebook. A friend of mine talked me into sharing some of it so here it goes....this stuff dates back to '97
    *sigh* here goes....

    A yearning

In the wake of a hundred moonlights
In the sleep of a thousand suns
I walk through a million shadows
And through a billion lifetimes I run

    I analyze this picture
    And find out this vanity
    I acknowledge the imperfection
    And crucify my sanity
    A dreamer who cannot sleep
    Trapped in restlessness
With no relief for this yearning soul
    I lie saturated in heaviness
    A million stars blanket me
    The moon shines so bright
Yet I feel the damage of the sun
    Well into the night

    Oh just to be normal
    Oh just to plain
Oh just to lose my uniqueness
    Oh just to remain sane!

Yes, I feel ya here. Not easy to be that square peg trying to fit into a round hole, I know. But, I think poets wouldn't flow the way they do if we weren't so unique. I realize you probably know this now.:) Like the way you expressed this.

    loved the flow of this...

    my favorite:

"In the wake of a hundred moonlights
In the sleep of a thousand suns
I walk through a million shadows
And through a billion lifetimes I run"

ALL for a chance at normalcy. normal!!! WHAT IS THAT?

as the one hundredth and first moonrise creeps slowly in and out of satiated lives // whispering sweet endearments 'til its final hour is spent // and sunrise's light ends its journey long // 'tis not wrong to be different // unique // one of the wonderful kind that flows rivers and streams // of wonderful things // that gives meaning to many // joy to others // while lovers marvel at the ease with which we word please one another.

    let the river flow.
