Occupation
student, but not for long
No configuration, lacks organization,
It’s just me in another session of ventilation,
As my thoughts and feelings give way to emancipation,
And I create a poetic confrontation.
Got a call earlier,
The person stating some things.
Interesting I thought,
As I repeatedly heard my name,
Caught up in conversations,
I wasn’t sure I wanted to be.
But I just can’t seem to figure out,
If you wanted to know,
Why you just didn’t ask me.
I heard that I’m ‘involved’,
With someone else who’s just a friend.
Yea I say he’s just a friend,
And I’m sure he doesn’t have what I need.
But then again,
Why is it a concern of yours.
He was the one who appreciated me,
Even with all of my flaws,
His cause, being no more than platonic.
How ironic!
Cause now of him you are inquiring,
Just because you get this impression that he is admiring,
Me….
You see you had a chance, a bright flame for romance,
But now, it’s the same one you didn’t want to give me,
My name, at that point, invisible…unseen.
My state at this point, heart erased (almost) clean,
From any traces of you.
Still can’t help but wonder why.
It’s so easy it’s simplified.
And I’m sure I have nothing to hide,
I don’t walk around behind a mask.
So I’ll say it once, but not again,
If you want to know,
Just ask….........me
