    it's really about values.

    what are your values?
    how did you acquire them?
have you ever sat and thought about them?
do you actually live by the values that you say you hold?

it's not really about race, it's about class.
have you ever known anyone of another race?
i mean, slept with them, ate with them, showered with them, had sex with them, been to their home and met their family?
people of the same class tend to hold the same values.

mainstream, white america holds a set of values.
these values are not good for anyone, not even mainstream white america, (have you looked at the state of our country lately?)
they are particularly toxic to black people who try to integrate and assimilate into the mainstream.
the harder black people try to be like their idea of white mainstream america, the more dysfunctional the black community becomes.

    "the end justifies the means"
    that got us iraq

    "greed is good"
that got us haliburton, enron, worldco, tyco, etc.

"consumer goods will make you happy"
that is taught 24/7 on BET

    "Jesus votes republican"
that got us the christian right (an oxymoron)

    "personal responsibility"
normaly screamed by those who take none

yes, mainstream, white, right, America is a stinking cesspool that we are all drowning in!

america had best wake up, clean up and stand up, before the fires of hell consume her.

Thank you for this, Brother James!

Yes, we need to "re-evaluate" our values and examine how values affect our daily lives and our communities.

I think you've spoken on a critical point that relates to every aspect of our existence.
