The value of life
I thought about
While in the shower
One morning

And I thought
It is not the things
That I have
That make a difference

It’s me

For the ones that would come
When I pass away
For the tears they would shed
For the empty space in their hearts

For love

The value of life
The smiles I gave
The hugs, the love we all shared
Not things

So I set out to right all the wrongs
To replace frowns
With smiles
And a warm forgiving heart

The value of life
Seeing God in a sunrise
The beauty of His smile
In a flower

And you

For I value you
Above myself
For your friendship
For your hugs, for your love

My value
