The wise tell us all the time that we should "fight fire with fire." If is this certain, then could we also upset the matrix with matricks? I guess that would only be a reformatting of an idea we've been discussing for months on Destee.

Matricks are magickal tricks, but not like pulling a rabbit out of a hat. Here's one. A traditional way African people stop hiccups for a baby? Get a piece of white thread from their own clothes, wet it with your saliva and place it in the middle of the baby's forehead. Works everytime right? Well, that would be considered a magic trick- one of those things that Western medicine would debate. How about putting a penny on a bump? Does it work or doesn't it? Sure it does and it has worked for centuries.

African people have all types of magikal tricks that are useful for parents, from burying the umbilical cord in the front yard to keep the children closer to home to placing certain books under their pillow to increase brain power. These methods actually work, even though science cannot explain why.

I am sure that even those of us who are against this sort of traditional "hocus pocus" and superstition will still find themselves enchanted by the lighter side of magick that come in the form of prayer, reading spells- I meant psalms and
going to a house of worship on the day of the sun. Humm- that doesn't sound traditional and supersitious at all.

It is only hocus pocus because we don't understand how it works. But last I checked most people didn't know how this worked either:

Velezza_toliet.jpg

But we still use it....as frequently as possible.

Our real fear is actually that those who master "magikal tricks" will be able to use them against us when we offend them. This is true regardless of what level of knowledge a person has, they still retain enough unconscious psychic influence to affect those that insult or oppose them.

Here's a quick secret. Jill Scott wrote "Hate on Me" as a battle song against those who would dare to use their unconscious psychic influence against her. We can all play the song and receive the same level of power.

jillscott.jpg

You cannot hate on me - ‘Cuz my mind is free - Feel my destiny
So shall it be

That is another magick trick, very old and ancient. Africans have always crafted songs as ways to battle invisible forces.

For me, I find imagery as a sharp and direct way to "invoke" the right level of energy for any situation.

Words, ideas and concepts can be hidden in images- far away from the causal eye. Sometimes the secrets of the matrix are staring us right in the face.

Simple magick affects the mind- but more powerful magick shakes up the entire system.

Can matricks stop bullets and liberate Black people you asked?
If our ultimate goal is to truly liberate ourselves from destruction, we should pay attention the fact that the cemeteries aren't littered with blacks who have died from gun shot wounds.

The living are too concerned with dying, we should be more concerned about "suffering" than death. Death is freedom from life, but suffering is torture. What liberates us from suffering?

Total freedom away from the control and gasp of all dominating systems. Stress is killing us more than any bullet or bomb. Many of you are dying as we speak....

The greatest of all matricks? Laughter.
Void of laughter the greatest strength will become a weakness.
If the world is a joke, why aren't you laughing?

smiling-black-man-250.jpg

Why? Because you see it as a sign of weakness? The worst thing you can do towards an enemy is laugh in their face. It's a magickal way to insert your will and power over any situation.

Still- many of us laugh to keep from crying.

Do you have useful matricks as well?

Lol.

African people have all types of magickal tricks that are useful for parents, from burying the umbilical cord in the front yard to keep the children closer to home to placing certain books under their pillow to increase brain power. These methods actually work, even though science cannot explain why.

Question
If you do not mind, could you please expound on the above mentioned books?

Simple magick affects the mind- but more powerful magick shakes up the entire system.

Question
Example of this powerful magick?

Useful matrick
Learn how to sleep - the reason most of us to do not enjoy the spiritual benefits of sleep is because we do not get enough of it. It has been scientifically proven that a human being does not begin to dream until 6hrs into sleep. To aid in dream recalling; put a block of camphor, 3 pinches of salt and sugar in a bowl of water. Place this bowl at the head of the bed. It also helps if you do not sleep in beddings with loud patters. Plain bed sheets are more suitable.

Simple magick
In this credit crunch period – a simple magick trick to ensure your family does not go without food; take a glass, fill it with water. Take a fork and knife and balance them ontop of the glass in an ‘x’ fashion. Place this glass somewhere high (like on top of a high cupboard). When the water dries out, simply wash the glass, and repeat the procedure.

Peace,
Alexandra

In the worst that life has to offer.
When it's past crunch time.
And you are down to that last penny you could borrow

SMILE :)

And keep that smile your face till the stress and tension goes away (and it will go away)

Thru my own experience I find I can't keep a smile on my face if I'm upset. I may not have the outside forces in check yet. But I can **** sure order that smile on my face till I come to my senses. (it's not always easy and you could feel that what your doing is very non-sensible for a moment or 2)

And don't fall for anyone's 'matrick' and say the situation warrants you to be angry. Cause the situation doesn't need your anger. As God/Goddesses it needed/needs your MASTERY over it. The anger is there to tell you something is wrong, and for you to do something about it.

So

To the God Meta Saience I submit my greatest magic.
I ain't doing a Cain trick on ya.
We all know what happen to him. Things never got right after that poor judgement call at that alter that day.
Talk about ''dreaded vortexes"
sheesh.
His God was a mean one.

LOL

Alexandra thank you! Very good tricks, I definitely use"sleep magick" to balance out my life. I'll try the glass trick that sounds like a really good one.

The methods I've mentioned so far comes from my Family's history and my Queen's family. What I find interesting about my Queen's Mother is that she did certain things by instinct that are very magikal in certain Pagan traditions. For example she cut her Daughters' hair during full moons. My Queen has beautiful hair- which her Mother always says "that's my hair, I gave you that hair!" Certainly her magikal instincts could be credited for that as well.

My Mother has kept my umbilical cord stump in a jewelry box from the time it was cut off. She promises to do a ritual with my Father in a couple of years burying it in the place she will choose to bury her body. Such traditions are very shamanistic.

Here's something interesting. Edgar Cayce the sleeping prophet is said to have "activated" his trance-like ability by sleeping on the Bible. Let the church say- "which version." I think any book that was absorbed spiritual energy will do.

I believe there is great truth in this, I've experimented with this method as well. It's not just about the book itself, but the energy this book was given. So for example, traditionally there was a book past down from Grandfather, Grandmother to their grandchildren that was used for under the pillow. In our culture we know this is the bible, we really don't pass down anything else- but in most cultures it's usually not a book at all but an item of power that we slept "with" we have to hold it in our hands as we sleep, usually this is an item from a powerful person in the family or tribe that we wished to think like or be in sync with at some point.

Is this why some Brothas steal Women's underwear?? Perhaps there is more to "I got the draws" than we think.

I heard some people sleep with a mirror under the pillow, I've never tried that one-wouldn't the mirror crack??

Emails could be used to change the matrix too. Personally I don't appreciate chain letters...especially from people who are supposed to be family. Why would a family member send an chain letter suggesting you will die in 3 days if you don't send it out to 10 more people?

But I do think a well crafted Email chainletter could be very effective. How about a chainletter that challenged the masses to perform a small ritual?

Black folks should be doing a collective "honey jar" ritual on McCain to be on the safe side...oh and on Obama too.

Who knows a good honey jar ritual?

Warrior HipHopolx! A smile is when the muscles in the face direct the energy of mouth up towards the head, one of the more natural ways to relieve stress, along with the raising of the eyebrows. Smile in the face of any monster and you will prevent the situation from absorbing your energy. Good one Bro Hip!

Before I forget - again! For your Earthday book gift Bro. Alas, a new cycle right? A new start! Another phase. I would suggest any book at seems like it was left out there for you to find it. Most of the books I've found while at the book store were either on the floor, left out on the table, I've even had a few books fall on me. I believe our spirits or Ancestors are very good at directing us towards the right material. The Seat of the Soul, A Delicate Balance, Nothing in this book is true- are some of the books that jumped out at me. Also from N--as to Gods did the same.
