This plea goes to my sisters and brothers

This request is for the fathers and mothers

To everything that still has breath

If you haven’t yet experience death

I’m calling you into this critical service

For your lack of input is a disservice

What gave you the right to opt out

Reaping the benefits without a doubt

Yet acting like the fight isn’t about you

As if you shouldn’t have to pay your due

I refuse to listen to you talk the talk

If you are not attempting to walk the walk

Beloved, please stop being a hypocrite

You not meant to be an ungrateful misfit

For you come from a long line of royalty

Who identified with integrity and loyalty

I am not telling you how to do what you do

But I am telling you it is time to get a clue

Stop refusing to acknowledge the revolution

If you not an active integeral part of the solution

Then for all intents & purposes you’re the trouble

And who benefits from our problem being doubled

Not you or I because regrettably we in this together

Even if you do always jump ship in stormy weather

They look at you the exact same way that they do me

And without your support that’s how it will always be

So my brother, my sister please answer the call of duty
