Looking in the mirror
Looking at the frown on my face
The gloom in my eyes
Cocking my head to the side…..
Trying hard to turn that frown
Into the smile it used to be.
Way back when, back in the day
When my days were bright
And my heart was full
And my future looked full of praise.
Cocking my head, a little more…….
Is that it, peeping shyly out at me?
Looks familiar
I remember that smile
The smile of love
The laughter of happiness
The grin of ecstasy.
I remember when, not a day went by
That I didn’t hear the words
Tasha….I love you, I want you, I need you
Hhhmmmmm
Now all I hear is the silence
Eerie, isn’t it?
Cocking my head a little more…….
Oh, look there it is
The smile I thought I lost!
I remember her
My she looks so……
Wait a little dizzy, a little odd
Hold on now, I no longer see the frown
But now I’m completley upside down!

Smiling!
