I’ve cried pools of tears to every sad song

Waded in misery that streamed rivers long

So long that it made me have to grow strong

Wary of retreating back to those avenues of wrong

Just the way you’ve approach reveals your intentions

And the moment has passed for those predilections

For in the bottom of the well I caught my reflection

Discovered my proper purpose and divine definition

And shirking this responsibility is a notion I must refuse

For I can’t continue to claim to be chaotically confused

Standing passive as my temple is relentlessly abused

To keep you utterly entertained & perpetually amused

The days of crushed esteem are completely finished

Your controlling hold has been forever diminished

As our fire of destruction has been extinguished

And all soul connections have been relinquished

Although from your presence, I walk away posthaste

I am not departing with any kind of bitter aftertaste

For you were an essential & enlightening flavor to taste

Seeing that you caused me to cease an existence of waste

Been there/done that of the entire poem, but LOVE the ending of 'this is a learning experience and without your punk self/mucked up self/winner-loser instead of my win-win self....' I wouldn't have met my BETTER self. Not so much sad, but wiser, I move on.

You bad, sista!
