    Unforgiven

Its four o’clock on a Monday afternoon
School is out for the summer and I have had the perfect summer day
Played basketball this morning till noon
Used some of my allowance to get a burger and fries
At McDonalds, oh yea and a large chocolate shake
Went swimming bout two with my buddy Clark
And of course we saw Janice and Pam in their little bikinis looking fine as a! (Well you know)
But now It’s 4:00 o’clock and mom and dad will be home by about 5:30
I guess now is a good time to get back home and clean my room like they told me to this morning
It’s a good thing I got my bike cus its fast, as sh_t and I will be home in a minute
I know my parents told me not to cross this highway except at the light but if I cross here I will get their much faster plus I see the perfect brake in traffic
Peddle peddle pump pump got to get up speed to make the jump
One lane two lanes three oh shiiiiiit, where did that car come from

Moma’s goanna be mad I went and got myself killed and broke the bike that they bought me for Christmas
They don’t even know I am dead yet
Traffic is backed up for miles and miles
They covered me with a white sheet but the blood is still everywhere and they left my feet out
I sure hope that the ambulance gets here soon before my Mom and Dad see me like this
Right now they think that today is just like yesterday but it’s not
    One less mouth to feed
    One less book to read
One less nappy head to cut

I hope my mom and dad know that I love them and that even though my body is destroyed, my character was saved and that’s the only thing we can take to heaven with us anyway
Although the breath has left my body today’ my soul was saved and my conscious clear
And God’s grace is sufficient to bridge the gap between my efforts and my accomplishments.

This piece ~ is so symbolic... it speaks so loud & clear ... sadness drowns echoes of loved ones lost in the reality of the world in which we all live ~

How touching this writing is ... how true it is, even without saying...

It's an unfortunate tragedy ~ so much sorrow to come!

Very Very Very well written art.

    Oneluv.

you are so right, this poem was all about the moment and the fact tht life must go on.
Thank you so much for feeling this one.

to have a poet such as yourself appreciate my heart cries is truly an honor, I witnessed this tragedy and was overwhelmed in the reality that this childs parents would not know for hours that they had lost their child.
    Thank you

God is light and we must remember that he is still in charge in the good and bad times and that all things do work together for good for all that love the lord.
