The story of the 1st black heavyweight champion, Jack Johnson! I can't wait to see it, thanks for posting brother Isaiah! His taste for controversy & white women were legendary. But I don't know if people realized how intelligient this man was (fluent in Spanish & French). He had virtually no fear of white people, and provided courage for other blacks through his actions. There used to be race riots whenever he fought and beat a white opponent. I don't think people realize the impact he had on US history!

Lookin' forward to this one, too, Fellaz! I've been seeing the advertisements on the Subways, and I know Ken Burns to be a pretty good documentarist, so it oughta be most interesting...(smile!)

I was hoping yall would catch this one, I wanted to post the heads up but work and such kept me from getting to it. Man Jack Johnson is truly one of my heros and I think one of the baddest Black men to ever walk..I watched the documentary and am buying the DVD.

All the so called revolutionaries need to watch this film.

This Black Man DID WHAT HE WANTED TO DO, DURING JIM CROW.

And alot of the so called Revolutionaries now, will not even budge.

    Jack Johnson is awesome.
