    I had trouble
    with the view of
    images as I look
    down over
    the mysteries
    coveted by a body
    of water

    It's very difficult to measure
    anything from above
    when it's submerged
    ...unable to determine
    if it is
    lifeless
    breathing
    drowning
    crying
    thinking
    laughing or
    smiling

    It's also hard to determine
    the depth of an object
    or if it is shallow~

    Can't hear any sounds~

So I get lost in thought
    trying to make
    sense of
    underwater images...
    trying to make predictions
    and guesstimations
    of creations
    held captive
    by this vast
    source of
    liquid that
    runs through me
    on a parellel
    to nowhere ~~
    then suddenly my
    mind stops short
    of diving in
    ~~I blink my
    eyes
    taking notice
    that the
    reflection in
    this pool is
    essential
    and I have
    only dilluted
    the consistency
    and effectiveness
    of me
    when I look
    at myself
    through
    underwater
    images
    that are
    never easy
    to fully
    observe
    no matter
    how clear
    it appears
    to be

N2-Your screen name couldn't be more appropriate for this particular poem. Sometimes we need to get into our souls to observe clearer images of self. At times we wade in the water, due to the uncertainty of what lies beneath...But there's nothing better than diving in head first, to discover, and some cases rediscover your inner being. Great poem!

    bodies of water are
    our kin our bodies com
posed of what we see reflec
tions in / we actually look
    at self /
    not submerged
    not underwater
but gliding on top of / at
    peace next to the Silverfish
    and beyond the power
    that bore the
    ripple

    which is the SOUL.

    Nice piece queen. Lovely.

how often do we get taken in by the outside only to invest time and see what's really on the inside then wonder why we feel like fools when the inside is nothing like the outside. N2 you got deep on this here.
