    Called the junkyard
My pops been doing business with for years
    Intentionally forgot my toolbox
Because I was told the part was off
But the Sojourner Truth was, “No!”
The part was not yet taken
So I had to go do all the bolt breakin
All needed was a simple ratchet and a ten
But what I got was a saying that
Flips pancakes and griddles boys into men
The Junkyard Dog did bark heavily off his lips
As he replied to my request for assistance
“What kind of help you think you gon get?”
My Love she went to work today
    She steadily fills prescriptions
Yet a young white woman grieves about a co-pay
Only nine dollars so she checks the computer
To see if insurance will pay
Walking away she hears the scream
    “I’m not a freaking liar!”
    See my Love is Black
Haters and Racism are clothes worn wet
    Not yet in the drier
They’re washed and rinse still till this day
    On the phone I ask,
    “Baby how was your day?”
The phone is loud Almost bout to click
    After every word I say
    She asks how was mine?
    But she knows the answer
    Because she is me
    The night is we
    Darkness is our hair
Together we lay our cross-tides of pride
Numerous horizontal touches on our dark horizons
We lay vertical kisses down hard like rails
As she softly pushes in the nails
    We are black as coal
Trying hard not to get red hot with all this bad air around us
We breathe in each others spirit like steam
Tying hard not to let our embrace evaporate
    So I push, she pulls
    She pushes, I pull
I push harder, she pulls harder
While they think we’re making love
    But we’re pushing each other
    Making moves to our getaway
    Steaming through the night
Running beside each other in the darkness
    To someplace called
    “FREEDOM”

In so many ways, more ways than we have the strength to even speak about, we still want to run away, run away to freedom. This hit a nerve, as it should. Posed on point poet, welcome back.

"See my Love Is Black", the magnitude of that line and this piece is almost overwhelming, it calls me to read it more than once, I mean twice

Ahhhh, the togetherness of two souls complimenting and
    completing each other. BEAUTIFUL!

There are many tracks leading to many underground railroads,
but it is truly a blessing to find another soul which you can
both travel the rails to FREEDOM.

    PRICELESS!:SuN036:
