    Unconditional Blackness

This guy burns did this piece on pbs
    (public broadcasting system
or pure bull ****, whichever you prefer)
    About Jack Johnson
    Heavyweight Champion of the World
    he named the piece
    unforgivable Blackness
    un-for-giv-a-ble Blackness
what kind of Blackness is that
    Blackness that cant be forgiven
For having, doing, thinking or being it
A Blackness which cant be forgiven
Even though we are born with it
Grow up and live in it
And die in cause of it
There is nothing you can do about it
Even though you’ve been made to want to
    By guys like burns and-them
Who tell us that our Blackness
    Is unforgivable
When it is really unbelievably Beautiful
    (as in beautiful beyond belief)
    When its really unquestionably Powerful
    (or powerful above all question)
When it is really outstandingly Wonderful
(or full of wonder, if you prefer)
When it is really unforgettable Blackness
    (Blackness that cant be forgotten)
Maybe we need some unequivocal Blackness
    Some unerringly, uncompromising Blackness
    Some undeceivable, unconditional Blackness
Blackness that never bows down to whiteness
Blackness that never would seek to be forgiven.

I'm told that there are some wise, even brilliant non-blacks...
but I beg to differ that, and in as much as many things changing...
yeah, we manage to let them ...
Change our names, to fit their language,
    Change our clothes,
Change our hair color and texture
just to name a few, but there's one thing that can never, :nono:
    ever, ever change...
    and that's something thats'
    :spinstar: Original :spinstar:

i felt the power in this piece. it was "unforgiveable" that PBS aired a program of that name without thinking of the meaning. or, even worse, maybe they did. thank you for your words.

    Black awareness of blackness
is the beauty of silent and night
not the rage of light and white

Born into the structure of blackness
    lived the deeds of blackness
walked in the steps of blackness
    and know of great blackness
that will never ever run , change or be replaced
proud to be in this blackness

this was deep strong and powerful piece of awareness.

For us as a people to be proud of who we are, just because...with no excuses, or reasons to look for excuses. When I read a piece from you, I'm always given a reason to reread it, and really think. Such an intense flow.
