Half a million feet pound the street,
but you don’t hear it.
Rebel soldiers creep while they sleep,
but you’re not near it.
120,000 chased from their homes to roam alone,
threatened by a force without a cause to call their own.
Rebel leader Joseph Kony and his “Lord’s Resistence Army”
use violence and intimidation to try and overthrow a country.
Abducting children from the local villages,
and forcing them to fight in the nightly pillages.
Those who resisted would be beaten viciously,
while the females would be raped and endure captivity.
But hey,
why would you care, I mean it’s not you or me,
plus it’s not as interesting as the beef Game had with Fifty.
That big tsunami thing, now that was really tragic,
it was on the “news”
and we were watching it like we were addicts.
Come on,
anything that comes on “TV” has to be important,
over 220,000 people died and they’re still reporting.
CNN could never miss a tragedy, that’s why they’re getting paid,
but in Rwanda,
a million died in like 100 days.
Amazing isn’t it,
America didn’t give two $hits,
let them n1ggers die, we’re too busy saving endangered fish.
I wrote this with the wish,
that we would wake the fu#k up and notice,
if we don’t help ourselves, no one else will and you know this.
This conflict has been raging for d@mn near eighteen years,
so tell me when the he11 will my people in the west open their ears?
Oh my bad,
I already know, why did I even wonder?
Most won’t give a d@mn until the make “HOTEL UGANDA”

Africa is in our hearts, yet we treat her like that distant cousin we don't call. we know she's there and we love her, but the love is rarely shown. get in touch with your roots, and pick up the phone and call your d@mn cousin. what ever happened to the strength of family? honestly, that's all when have.
