I have changed,
But you wouldn’t know that.
This is the way you’ve always seen me,
Everyday…
I use to be so carefree,
Not a perfectionist.
I use to not care what people thought,
Now caring about what I wear.
I used to not worry about the little things,
Not worrying about my hair,
My clothes,
And my attitude.
I have changed,
But you wouldn’t know that.
This is the way you’ve always known me.
This isn’t the way,
I use to always be.
My friends have noticed,
They have noticed me change.
Telling me, not to get my hopes up.
Even with the change,
Even then,
You still barely glanced at me.
Slowly we became friends,
But I wasn’t her.
You had her,
And I wasn’t her.
There was no need to keep up this,
This fake me.
But it’s what I transformed into,
I can’t go back.
Trying to impress you,
Only resulted,
In a few lost friendships,
And what do I have?
What do I have to show for this?
Now that you moved away?
Nothing…
Absolutely Nothing.
