    TYLER PERRY STUDIO OPENING
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoVTEc57zxA

A huge congratulations to Tyler Perry who, on Saturday, became the first African-American ever to launch his own major TV and film studio. He celebrated by throwing a huge bash in Atlanta, where the studio is based.
“I spent 56 years making movies and this is the reward that I have that means the most to me,” said Sidney Poitier of Perry’s achievement.

WELL, ALL FILM MAKERS MUST START SOMEWHERE.... WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT DADDY'S LITTLE GIRLS? IS THAT FILM ALL ABOUT MALE BASHING TOO?

    Daddy's Little Girls
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ig5Fs5GsWVA

Daddy’s Little Girls tells the story of a hard-working, good-natured guy named Monty James (Idris Elba) who has 3 daughters China (China Anne McClain), Lauryn (Lauryn Alisa McClain) and Sierra (Sierra Aylina McClain). Monty, a mechanic at Willie’s Auto Shop, is good at his job and well-respected by the local community. Monty also has dreams of owning his own mechanic shop someday but those dreams are challenged by his ex-wife, Jennifer (Tasha Smith), the mother of his daughters. Monty’s daughters have been lovingly cared for by their maternal grandmother for many years. On one occasion, Monty goes to visit his daughters and finds they are happy to see him and doing well.

    Hello Jahari...

I have seen all his plays..his movies...and read his books...yes he does seem to be a little hard on the brothers. But it's nothing that I having seen in real life. To me he's bringing it out into the open, where it should be, not hidden in a closet....Now we can deal with the issues....personally I like in your face issues.

To be honest I haven't seen Daddy's Little Girl mainly because of my fear of Tyler Perry films in general, lol. I don't mind our problems being brought out through art, but I'd just like to see more balance in his films, plays, etc. as far displaying the various dynamics of black male and female relationships........

Check it out my brotha. You will like it. A "Black" man has to take care of his three girls, while the mother is the bad element.

I actually think there are beginning to be more and more films that reflect the reality of our experience, Antoine Fisher, Pursuit of Hapyness, etc.

It is just so much of the time we are depicted as cartoon characters. When they get it right, we need to support the effort.
