    Sensing certain death...
    Only the animals fled
    Waves came stealthfully

    Paradise seekers
    Entombed in watery graves
    Never to be found...

    Cruel separation
    Loved ones unite in heaven
    May God rest their souls

    New families formed
    Newly childless couples seek
    Orphans left behind

    Light returns at dawn
    Even in mass destruction
    HIS mercy endures

    Why you and not me?
    The reasons why are varied
    The sea can't answer
