i believe this was posted once before. a woman from spellman collge is leading some type of crusade against rap. I am not sure of the specifics pertaining to her cause(maby jelousy of half naked women dancing making $10,000 per video rappers making millions while she pays millions for a piece of paper), being that I turned the channel as soon as i saw this. With all of the positive things rap has done for the world now we have one of our own a so called educated woman doing the white mans job once again. today it was reported that the feds are reopening their investigation into the rap industry, steming from alleged shoot outs between various rap crews, as well as little kims purjury trial.

As much as I would want to loom forward to seeing the "Shake dat @$$" music gone, I stop and think about WHO BENEFITS! If rap goes, then they have to take Marilyn Manson and those HATE MUSIC groups with them. On the other hand, I hope those Spelman girls are thinking about what they are doing. I mean I personally would want rap gone too, but I was listening to Nas this morning, and as I studied his lyrics, I said, "This is what we need." Let's see how the rest of the family thinks about this.

Well, I would be for getting rid of rap, but there are some good artist (Dead Prez, Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def) that would suffer along side the millions of crappy artist. I guess it wouldn't be fair. It would be nice to just get rid of people like 50 Cent, Nelly, T.I. and everyone else that has nothing to talk about but how ignorant they are.

Kente - there are MANY, MANY more names that can be added to both of those lists. Mos Def is one of the rappers that inspire me, but I put him in the category of Hip Hop. So Therious, are we talking about Hip Hop AND Rap or just Rap? Do not get rid of Hip Hop. As a matter of fact, the only thing about Hip-Hop that needs to go is saggin' pants. Anyway, getting rid of some people could be a start.

to tell you the truth...i can't stand commercial rap and if they shut all of it down tomorrow...good artist included...i would be sad...but i would also feel better for the children who look up to these garbage @ss mc's...i have so much hip hop music in my collection now...i could live the rest of my years with out any new ish...plus, it would always be an underground...the spellman women who took on this pursuit are really silly, the black women in these video's are begging to be exploited, creamin for it even...these atlanta women should make better use of their time...like donate'n some of it to help out the needy...what are they going to go after next...the porn industry which gets supa large off of black womens assets?

well Rap has made it's mark through a cross dress from R&B / BLUES /and
Pop what can happen is they clean the game up but to end it to society the
billions of dollars will speak louder so look for RAP to be i don't knock the
sista for voicing out how our young women dressing and what some Rappers
speaking about is str8 up trash but there are many who bring a positive message
trying to reach our youth .
