Hey to my folks out there. I am looking for feed back. I am finally spreading my wings and sharing my poetry with the world. Let me know what you think. Please be honest

“You can’t handle the Truth”
is what he said

So why down the path of deception was I lead.
Things between us seemed to be flowing in
Harmony
There was a sense of happiness cause he was on me
And I was on him
Cause in him I saw a good friend
But then it all came real in this way,
The whole situation changed in a day

I was sitting at work and the phone on my desk rang
So not suspecting anything, I answered in my usual
Professional way.
But the voice on the other side asked. “Do you know my man?”
Then I thought. “Here we go again”

She wasn’t rude nor disrespectful, She just wanted to know why my voice
Was on his machine.
What did this mean?
“I am his wife of 4months, we have children and he hasn’t been home. Do you know what’s going on?”

My mind scanned through times and conversations we had,
No clue could have lead me to think he was a married man
My first mind was to be spiteful and fill her eyes with secret rendezvous, quiet dinners,
Long conversations and plans to be together.

I don’t know about you, but I have a conscience, so I let her know that
We were nothing but friends
And at that point what we had would have to end.
I didn’t hit the hater juice cause I could have incriminated you.
But I know what she’s going through

I am sure she has stayed up all night waiting for you
Thinking to herself “What did I do?”
All I can think is “What the Hell is wrong with you.”
And you want to say that I can’t the truth.

Here’s the truth, you want her cake and you want mine too
So instead of being honest you figured “why should I chose. I have
A wife at home taking care of me
And another woman taking care of my fantasies. I am a man and women should
Expect this of me.”

You got the nerve to call yourself a King.

What you should have done from the gate, was not even look my way
You knew that when you came to me, you intent was evil from the beginning
Your not a King you’re a slave, cause Kings don’t conduct themselves in that way
I will not feed into the “So called Game”

Now just think about this, when your with me who do think she’ callin
Don’t get yourself caught in thinking that she’s fallin so in love with you, that she can
Make due with what you’re putting her through
Us women have an intuition that’s so strong, that our souls know when something
Is going on

If you don’t want to be the victim of foul play, you must play the game of life with rules that read this way:

What’s good for you is good for me. The apple doesn’t fall from the tree. Most important is what goes around comes back around. An eye for and eye, a tooth for a tooth. This what is really the TRUTH.
