reducing my life
down to 2 suitcases
fear diminishing
yet still a woman alone
entering a world wholly unknown
trusting My Him to lead
and guide me thru
with understanding, patience
kindness and assurity
stepping with faith towards our fate
sunshine beneath my feet
holding out my hand for Him to take
as we begin our stroll
through the garden of everlasting

please don’t fear the love doubters
they’re always the loudest shouters
because they are aware
they have no place in our affair
“she’s gonna wanna make changes
as your wife this is the strangest
time in our life
she’s coming to council and advise
this may alter all our lives”
folks gonna have plenty to say
but we can’t let that get in our way
don’t worry please don’t feel dejected
for by God and the Ancestors
our union is protected
