Detroit NAACP: Trump's separation of immigrant kids is like slavery

Rev. Anthony, who has led the Detroit NAACP since 1993, compared what the immigrant kids are facing to what African slaves experienced. He was joined at the news conference by other religious leaders, Latino advocates, and other supporters.

"This process of separation even found its way through the Middle Passage on Southern plantations and in Northern cities," Anthony said. "We are aware of the effect of separation because they still are visibly aware in the stress and trauma existing in our communities today.

Yes, it is. Is this disgusting act of taking children a show of things to come.
Whose children will they take next.
This is horrible. Separating parent and child. He is wicked.
As a mother, I’m hurting for those children and their parents. Can’t imagine anything as horrible as not knowing where my kids are.
Are the safe. Are they eating, are they sleeping. Are they being used as sex slaves. Are they being raped by adults. Are they being sexually exploited..

WHERE ARE THE CHILDREN, TRUMP?

Trumpism, Realized
To preserve the political and cultural preeminence of white Americans against a tide of demographic change, the administration has settled on a policy of systemic child abuse.

At least 2,000 children have now been forcibly separated from their parents by the United States government.
Their stories are wrenching. Antar Davidson, a former youth-care worker at an Arizona shelter, described to the Los Angeles Times children “huddled together, tears streaming down their faces,” because they believed that their parents were dead.

Hundreds of Separated Children Have Quietly Been Sent to New York

Under cover of darkness and in the custody of the federal government, migrant children have been coming in waves to New York, taken from their parents after crossing the southern border.

Even as President Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday ending his administration’s policy of separating parents and children who have illegally crossed the border, the crisis was already spreading to a city some 2,000 miles away.

There are 2,300 migrant kids spread across the US. What happens to them next?

But it's not clear when -- or if -- at least 2,300 children taken from their parents under the prior policy will be reunited. Neither is the long-term plan for families who are detained jointly.

Will the separated children be reunited?
The short answer is: It's too early to tell.
