I try to move forward, but I aint ready
Its this load I carry, its heavy
It has taken refuge in the most important parts
My Mind, My soul and my heart
I try to put it down so I can rest
So I can breathe freely and get it off my chest
But like the faithful solider
I pick it back up and place it over my shoulder
Man someone left me behind
Because of it my heart has flat-lined………..

Greetings Coey30,

I was perusing the Destee.com poetry forum looking for talent, and your poem, Troubled Heart, stood out as one we’d like to publish in Visions with Voices, a quarterly journal of Spoken Word poetry and narrative. We have readers and contributors from all over the world and would be pleased to feature your poem in our upcoming spring issue.

As a visions with Voices contributor, you will see and hear your poem displayed on its own page. Like and Tweet buttons allow visitors to share your page with their friends and followers at Facebook and Twitter. You will also have a bio page and if you have any books at Amazon.com, we will feature those as well.

If interested, please submit the following to submissions@visionswithvoices.com

1. A brief blurb about the poem. Things such as what you were thinking/feeling when you wrote it or what the poem means.
2. A brief bio about yourself.
3. A photo of yourself.

Feel free to visit our website.
