    You are
    a tree to me
    Just think of it
    a tree
    So strong, so vital
    and there are so many
    varieties
    of trees

    There's...a maple tree
    those leaves...once kissed by autumn
    become vividly magenta, vibrantly
    blowing in the breeze
flowing into my body like a life force
    rushing through my veins
like a raging river running its course
And oh how I'd love to be
saturated in sugary sap, coating me
    in translucent maple sweetness,
what I'd give to drown in that sea

    A palm tree
    Such a pleasure
    A tropical treasure
    As you take those
    long... smooth...palms
and place them just so to soothe
while the balmy island breeze calms
allowing me to take a mental vacation
It wasn't Calgon but you who has taken me away
seducing my mind while the reggae beats play
If this is a mirage, please, don't bother to tell me
I don't really want to know...

Ahhh...the cascading leaves of a weeping willow
    create a camouflage, a curtain,
    a sheer green veil
    as we tenderly make love
on a hill in a mossy dale
shielding the world from our love's passion
raining down upon us in a feathery fashion
as we weep, not from sadness but utter glee
as our blissful tears joyously merge
    giving birth to poet tree

    The mighty oak tree
    so strong secure and sturdy
I know I can depend on you
to bear my weight, should I falter
You'd extend a branch to break my fall
lifting me, to the apex of your alter
Yes, if I could only scale you
climb those arms outstretched to the sky
I would climb up to the highest limb
and vainly attempt to reach the clouds up high

    Evergreen
    I see forever in thee
for you have the staying power
    to last for an eternity
    Alluring me...
Your seasonal scent of late December
    permeates the air
    reminding me of jingle bells
    and joyous noels
    and a luscious, lingering kiss
    under the mistletoe
    Yes, there are so, so
    many varieties
    of trees
    so strong, so vital
    And you are...
    A tree to me...

    My favorite line
"It wasn't Calgon but you who has taken me away"

Thats my favorite line but its always your imagery that takes me away. Your imagery my friend is one of your many talents. Once again I take my hat off to you
