The teacher asks him f he would like 2 lead the class n the discussion of the word "tragedy." so the 'illustrious' leader asks the class 4 an example of a "tragedy." 1 little boy stands up & offers, f my best friend, who lives next door, is playing n the street & a car comes along & runs him over, that would be a tragedy. no, says bush, that would b an accident. a little girl raises her hand: f a school bus carrying 50 children drove off a cliff, killing everyone involved, that would b a tragedy. fraid not, explains george, that's what we would call a gr8 loss. the room goes silent. no other children volunteer. bush searches the room. isn't there someone here who can give me an example of tragedy? finally, way n the back of the room, a small boy raises his hand. n quiet voice he says, f air force 1, carrying mr. & mrs. bush, were struck by a missile & blown up 2 smithereens, by osama bin laden, that would b a tragedy. fantastic, exclaims bush, that's right. & can u tell me y that would b a tragedy? well, says the boy, b/c it wouldn't b an accident, & it certainly wouldn't b a great loss.
