    The
    tracks of
    my tears are internal
    My cry is invisible
    Some things come natural
    With practice

    I crack
    a smile in spite of
    the blues playing me
    daily

    Sometimes
I want to cry out loud
    Out in the open
    minus concerns of inquisitive eyes
    and judgmental minds

    But
    Weakness
    won’t ever get that
    satisfaction

    Unaware
    of one’s loneliness,
    that’s a joke
    isn’t it?
    Or
    is the joke
    on me
    for
    refusing to
    believe the reality
    Of it?

    I
    blame
    myself for not
    paying attention to
    nudging intuition

    Who else
    Is the blame for the
    emotional condition
    I’m in?

    Granted…
    A need to confront
    an Accomplice is relentless

    But

    I
    fear their
    unwillingness
    to accept responsibility
    would lead to another assault
    emotionally

    A
    cold heart
    has a certain appeal…
    always will
    to me
as long as love could be
    a possible pipeline
    to pain

    Somebody
    did a job on me
    you see
    Overtime’s imprint runs
    soul-deep

    Nevertheless,
    to condemn all men
for a sin committed by one
is a sin just the same
    isn’t it?

    Still
    somehow I manage
to cover the tracks of my tears
    with imaginary happiness

    Yet

    An
    occasional
    moment of honesty
    reveals a hint of misery
that longs to be in the company
    of love and living
    again

    At times

    I
    grow
    tiresome of
    self imprisonment
its wearing thin, I want to throw caution
    to the wind and trust
    again

    Re-track
    the tracks of my tears
    and begin when simplicity….

    was a friend

I understand not wanting to be hurt again, makes ya want to run when the eyes of a man look at you with too much interest. Is love worth the possible pain when things go awry? Feeling this sis, well done.

    Sister coco... girrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl (lol)
So um your pieces are a part of my "waiting to exhale" joints (lol)
I turn on my donny hathaway read through a couple of your joints a few other poets here...
then I take a moment of reflection and heave a sigh of relief that poets such as yourself
can speak for a sister like me :read:
Is that not what poetry is after all
To say so much with so little in such a melodic way
    bliss :read:
    Love it :)
MUCH props my sister poetess :) :read: :)
