    10. We'll still have Obamacare, the cynically misnamed “Affordable Care Act”.

    9. We'll probably have reductions in social security proposed and enacted by a Democrat, something no Republican could have initiated, that sets the stage for further reductions in benefit by either party.

    8. We'll have solidly in place a new tradition of bailing out banksters and speculators, and lots more immunity from prosecution for corporate scofflaws.

    7. When Obama leaves office, we'll still have gentrification as the only model of urban economic development.

    6. The day Barack Obama leaves the White House we'll still have the world's biggest prison state, with three quarters of its inmates black and brown, the insane 40 years War On Drugs, and a black person murdered by police, private security or vigilantes every day or so.

    5. We'll have US troops in more than thirty African countries enforcing Western land grabs and the corporate neoliberal order, and keeping Africa barefoot, sick, hungry and afraid, but well-armed. And we'll have an even larger overall military budget with more troops and more overseas bases than under George Bush.

    4. When Obama leaves office, it will be legal and acceptable for US presidents to unilaterally murder with or without announcement of cause anybody, anyplace on the planet within the reach of US drones, special operators and mercenaries.

    3. The Obama administration will have closed and privatized more public schools than at any time in US history.

    2. We can cherish the memory of 8 years of watching that pretty brown family in that big White House, along with unprecedented black unemployment, declining real wages, and the most drastic shrinkage of black family wealth since we began tracking and comparing black and white wealth.

    1. After 8 years of Barack Obama, black leadership and black America will have decisively lost and forgotten the habit, the inclination, even the example of standing against unjust and abusive power, and our former reputation around the world as a people of struggle.

And even worst!...the next people in office will be able to tell Black people; "Don't ask us for ish you didn't ask your own President for"....or, if we do ask, at best they can tell us the same thing that he did. "stop all your complaining and strap up your boots". That will be the double standard...us protesting and marching and screaming for some ish that we didn't scream and protest and march for when Obama was President"!! Imagine that!???....they'll laugh at our @sses!

We know what is coming in 2016, but where is our unity of focus to prepare for it? Can we collectively manifest enough collective economics, to help the millions who will be hurt in our community, when public schools, public housing, civil service jobs, city hospitals, city colleges, will be slashed?

I totally overstand where you are on this.

The fact that he is a disappointment to some is a fact that he's done his job well as the front man of matrix and he has followed his orders to the T.

If you own a store, a busy store, and someone walks into your place of business, and just stares at you. Doesn't ask what they want, doesn't say what they are looking for, but just stares at you for over 20 minutes, what are you supposed to think? Is that person bugged or what, cause if they were a customer they would have asked for something, Collectively we as Africans in America havent asked Obama for squat in now 5 months over 4 years, so what do we expect? We get a president that looks like us and forget 75 years of Black politics and get caught up in love / hate games instead of realizing the man is a servant, a public servant we pay taxes for!

Back in the 60s Black folks didnt have alot of electronic toys or a trillion dollars a year to get distracted by. They with the Civil Rights movement along with Dr King, demanded things from a White Dixiecrat racist warmonger LBJ, and got them, one was the right to vote!!

Some Black people saw it coming but no one wanted to listen, we were called self haters and sell outs, for telling brothers and sisters about his planned policies, planed apointees and senate voting record.

    Dude,

You should've been around during pres. obama's first election. Obama was that 'golden calf' that couldn't be touched. The 'sentinels' were on you quite promptly. Or they would create threads the indirectly responded to whatever dissent was being expressed.

I'm a wee-bit surprise that I have not seen them on sentry as of late.
    ...Perhaps its that sequestration thingy.
