for those who are looking at the debate, what are your thoughts? spill it. even after it's gone off. i feel like President Obama is lacking passion and that he needs to put Romney in his place more! At times he also looks like he wants to slap the hell out of Romney as well.

It is kind of boring. Romney isn't making the errors you would think he would. But geez this moderator is getting spoken over.

Romney's a joke, but you're right, Obama isn't crushing him.

It's like Obama did more research on Romney than Romney. Romney seems to just be pandering. Obama is real professional.

Lol--imagine if he asked about the Black population in Prison.

Too bad--just asked his last question and didn't. :|

Your going to have to wait for the news programs to tell everybody what to think first.

Romney supporters will be happy.. he was confident and unbeholden to any facts or history and that freedom to not be specific can come across as fitness. Obama's slower, stumble-laden responses have to do with his words actually being tied to concrete actions, results and policies. Passion really has nothing to do with it.. or it shouldn't.. but the saddest thing about it is, that it will have everything to do with it in the minds of very many voters who really don't understand the underlying issues. You would be surprised at how little people really understand about what a President actually does.

That said.. one of the really interesting parts of the debates is the kind of desperation present in the media personalities seeking to shape public opinion.. both sides have a real desperate kind of vibe. ABCs live streaming of the debates included twitter feeds flashing up on the screen.. none of it was substantive.. and that's really really sad.

i know obama's delivery wasn't his usual strong self, but i feel that part of it was that the moderator didn't cut romney off but did that a lot of Obama. And also, there are 2 more presidential debates from what I understand, so it's not over yet guys.

I gotta admit, I just turned to the cable news from another channel because I really didn't understand that debate. How in the world could Romney just dismiss everything?

Obama should have explained the 5 trillion dollar tax cut. I finally understand it--Romney proposes to reduce taxes by 20% ergo that's 5 trillion dollars lost. But I had to hear that on the cable news. Obama could have simply put that to Romney and it would have been a winning hit.

In a way, Obama presumed we were real in touch with Romney's policies.
