Right now I’m just a chunk of coal
But tomorrow I’ll be a diamond

Right now I’m a tattered, wrinkled, worn out mess
But tomorrow my clothes will be sharply pressed

Right now I’m confused, not making any sense
But tomorrow I’ll be beaming with confidence

    Right now I’m in darkness
    But tomorrow I’ll see light

Why will things go from wrong to right?
I’ll be making love with my woman tonight

In that time so much will change
    I’ll be a new man
    I’ll be rearranged

    Right now is one thing
    Tomorrow is quite another
    In between those times
I’ll be with a master lover

Right now I see only in front of me
But tomorrow the view will change drastically

Right now I’m an infant, clean as can be
But tomorrow her love will be all over me

Right now I’m thinking about tomorrow
    All up in her love
    No pain, no sorrow

    BE
