Maybe Tommorrow he’ll call
I hope tommorrow I won’t care
Maybe tommorrow he’ll love me
I hope tommorrow I know longer need him to
Cause yesterday he promised
That tommorrow would be better
I cry sometimes after he leaves my bed
Cause I know that tommorrrow for us
Will always be what today is
I know what “We” are
I know that there has never been an “Us”
Only an “Us” that I pretend it to be
A quick hello a long goodbye
What is this obsession I have
For his heart
The need I feel for his body
The constant thoughts
Of yesterdays
And what I could have done
To make it a tommorrow I hope for
Everytime I look into his eyes
I see only lust
Everytime he lays beside me
I feel only the heat of his passion
I don’t see Love
I don’t feel cherished
One day my tommorrow will come
And I will look back on my yesterdays
With a fond thought.
Because today I can’t seem to let go
But For now I can live with
The Promise of Tommorrow
