****PSA: I am not a poet and never claimed to be. However I did write some things that were going on inside of me and decided to post them for my own personal and self-serving reasons. To my surprise, you good people actually read them and actually like them & identified wit them. For that, I THANK YOU...I THANK YOU...I THANK YOU...I had made a decision to retire my "bic" and not to post anymore. I would've stuck to that decision but I was asked, no I was commanded, more or less I was threaten by a hamma to write upon this title. I have done that and now I will not post anymore but I will continue to read and support the great writings on these forums. Now back to regularly scheduled program.****

Now, the poem itself, was intense, I mean your words just shot out (pardon the pun) at us, no holds barred. And this is as it should be, given the subject matter. Nice touch at the end, a water pistol, huh? Lost "love" can sure make us feel like hell. Poet or no, I wish you'd keep on writing for us....

All that he thought he knew..
    was never really real
there was once a woman he loved more than life
now standing in her place a pathetic by*tch who claimed all her strife
he will never know her REAL love
    her SINCERE care
instead he will grab and hope and guess at what he @SSumes is not there
but pain and life are such that as his heart is breaking
    her heart is destroyed
nothing worth rebuilding after breaking down the love of your life
    and death
    death
death is better then knowing...you just gave up life LOVE and the man who gave it to you...
    to degrade yourself to nothing
    nothing...
and hope one day he sees...he IS everything.
    ---
That was painfully real. I dont think you should ever put down your "bic" loved the way it ended. You are more than all of that...you are a Man. And in my opinion a poet this deserved my first post :) looking forward to more

    re:Me

Bigdrizzle, This is an Excellent poem of emotions and Closure. Closure to a lot of things take time and Faith. I was relieved it was a Water Gun. I like this a lot. Sorry for my insensitivity on your last poems.

My brtha my brotha Before this I had read all of or almost all of your work but this is the one I related to the most. I don't really believe that anyone should retire until they die b/c then and only then the soul doesn't crave for the pen and pad but I do respect your decision to let go now. I must say I've felt this way many times like living just isn't the answer. I've also really been on the brink of ending my life literally but thank god something was there to bring me back. I really do love this one than you for writing it.
