7 and a possible 1, 2 at the most, but that's pushing it, and your partner has to know how to watch you so he will send it back your way. If this is your hand, the others are going to come out A's.. Most likely you partner as one, but man it won't be long before you will be cutiin him.

    Peace!

If it was my play, I would go Ace di, kng di, Ace hrts, then trow out either the 4 of dia, or 8 of hearts...that way I'm cutiin the next hand, and hopefully my partner will get rid of his Ace..if he has one.

    That's 3 books right off the bat...:D

And if he knows how to play, he will rid of his ace, of club, then throw it back to me...;)

    Peace!

    I would bid a 6. Never played a Spades with a joker.
I'm taking the -ace and King of di, the ace hrt, throwing away the 8 heart. Cutting hearts, cut 1 heart good. (4).
    (2) more cuts ace and jack definite.
In spades I bid my hand. In Bid I count more on my partner. I don't know who might have the ace of club or in what order it might be played. I only have 2 clubs. So I'm not including the king spades in bid.
Solid six. Possible 7 partner need help.

I would bid 8. I'd be expecting on getting 9+, by cutting off the opponent by having so many spades, or by my partner having at least one winning card. I don't know if that is the big joker or the small joker, so that would have be considered in the order in which I'd play my hand.

    I'd play,

Big Joker (if that's what it is, if not, skip that)
    Ace Diamond, King Diamond
    Ace Hearts, 8 Hearts
I'm either cutting Hearts or my partner has King, maybe even Queen of hearts .
Jack of Diamond or an Ace of Clubs. Yeah, I see a strong 9 bid. My partner has to have something. And, if not, I have enough Spades to be cutting something.

    Typically, i don't play spades. i prefer "Bid." however, i'd say Seven...easy.

Note: the way the cards are set up, i'm guessing you have four wild cards--two jokers, 2-spade, 2-diamond. otherwise, why is the 2-spade set up ahead of the ace-spade.

Bid is a game I could never get. Folks always said that if you can play spades, you can play bid. That low, and high part just throws me, as with spades, it's straight forward.

    Peace!

Missing some key spades. Joker, K,Q, cards that can take your ace or jack, or joker. Depends on whose holding those cards and the order played. Since I'm holding 6 spades, there's 7 spades out, and my partner don't have any spades!
What if your partner is holding strong clubs and hearts, you and opponents cuttin um.

If you bid 8 or 9, that only leaves 4-5 books to be had.

In spades I bid my hand and expect my partner to do the same.

IDK what I would bid on that hand in Whist. Thinking 4 high counting on the kiddy for some diamonds. In Bid I know my opponent is gone be SET! Know matter what they bid.

I learned to play bid before I played spades. I'd never played spades until I moved south. I eventually gave in to spades. Some spades players don't know how to play by the rules, or that there even are rules. So they bid a "9" (liberty) like they really gone get all the books. Talking stuff, lol, lol. You may luck up and get a 9.
