I don't write poems...But I woke up this morning with this thought in my head to those for the older generation from the new generation...

    Knock, knock are you there?
    Are you aware?
    Will you listen?
    Will you hear?
    There is nothing to fear
    Don't worry
    Don't fret
    There is nothing to bet
    For we young admire
    What the old inspire
    What you pass on
    Will last long
    Even when you're gone
    Your wisdom will remain
    Though time will change
Words will not be lost in vain

in opening my door unto thee...

    I thank you...for this
    You’ve answered my prayer
    Words…not in vain
    Faith…in those who care
    I share
The same vision of the future...you do
    Where the young remains true
Not to the letter of my words
But to the good we all do
    And I admire you
    For stepping to the fore
    And speaking truth
    For all the youths
    Who stand beside you
    I honor you
    Please, CONTINUE
    Being you.

Good poem MsInterpret! Yeah, wisdom can be shed in mass amounts especially from the older generation for what they have obtained over the years! :)
