i love where you take me
through the places you go and
the things you see
even the different ways your
mind thinks
i'm well travelled because
i get to read you...
i've felt more passion in the
blow of the wind against
my face coming through the window
of the bus you travel on to porterville
and i see corners and people
and buses that sigh in the city
where you walk from place to
place looking in windows, store windows
crazy eyes...
if only everyone in the whole wide world
could experience the beauty of you...
i'm so thankful that you share.

thank u wildflower

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, love in every primeval forest waking with the happy sun. we drive wildflower, north toward oregon toward the snow. a day of small concerns. while the world works, we are free in the sweet air, your poem tattooed on my chest, the chant of it cadencing in my mouth. i love u for kissing me. for claiming me among all the men who find themselves in prayer this morning. this instinct to turn north with u. the unexplored rural of the echoing north. your poem bright in the world. and me belonging to you like a amulet that hangs between your breasts. swing me close to your heart wildflower. romus
