Blak man
standing on the corner
of your
permonition /
of what would come to
this Society
in a place where
DKNY
Gucci
Tommy Hil
Sean John
FUBU
don't meant a **** thing...
They should've listened /
minds open instead of opening purse
strings to purchase things
that don't mean a **** thing...to
the good of us all....
...too many walk blindly brother
bumping their heads on real words
you drop like iron rain drops
from a burning roof
and you'd think they'd listen
...then maybe some of the pain
would stop...
this tragedy occurred well before
the skies rained planes
and the atmosphere gave birth to attitudes
insane...
foreign policy has been a twisted fallacy
in this "moral" democracy
check the hoods that are bombed by
an unequal equality the hoods
in NYC...Liberty City...
east side detroit.....the projects in
chicago..the sets of Cali...
you name we got it
you name it this govenment
bombed it / not
just bosnia / rwanda / or iraq
but all the lands of the blak
all the "hoods" of the blak
.....it's just now that
a "hood" got tired...
but the planes landed a long time
ago and no one was listening
to YOU my brother...
SO continue to stand
on that corner and let your words resound so
profound that even the ignorant
will buy admission to get down to the truth....
before the planes land again and screams saturate
the grounds.......

beneath all our feet
from the ivory coast
to the west coast......

teach 'em
preach 'em
reach 'em
MY BROTHER
your horizons stretch
farther than you can see

YOU are the descendant of those
THEY could not kill / a survivor of a
heinous history / with the blood of
warriors (SO'JAS) flowing
through every orifice of your
being...so
TO MY BROTHER...
keep your head up and know that
"I" am "WE"
and you are not alone.
