Thankz for sharing nothing i wanna be more .......
And I wouldn't wanna be anything less. No matter what society would like me to think, I wear my blackness with pride.
edit: To the OP, I copied this to my tablet. Hope that's all right. This is one of those things that I want to have with me when I'm out, to share with others.
I appreciate my Black brothas and cheering you on, you are WARRIORS with beautiful spirits!
In the Spirit of Sankofa,
.......Speaking from the perspective of being a Black Man, personally, I'm a little tired of framing the issues of plight, really; and find myself more involved in turning around that which I just viewed as truth, seriously.
Ordinarily, I would be thankful for this and appreciate it fully, and I do; but after awhile it becomes problematic to reiterate the plight and not move in a different and positive direction.
The question does become why is this the condition of not only black men, but also black women and the black family in general.
When you find that answer and accept it as truth, you realize there's much work to be done....let's get about that business of doing the work...in my opinion.
Brother Clyde, you raise a serious question and quest for our people to search internally and reverse the negatives into final victory...thank you for asking the hard question, now let's see if this opens dialogue that travels to that end!
It is what it is.
Personally, I find strength in it.
It's a place we as brothers and sisters much face , understand
and seek our solution , it's a statement to the real men to stand up
and make dat change !
it's an mission we have turned from yet we like to revisit beyond motion
and still know there is much work to do and the strength it pose on our mindz
so i say yes let's get to business and change faces / feelings / da fight and life
which has been placed upon us as a people.
Let's do it !!!
But it aint 'sposed to be.
We've always had strength.
But we also need hope and resolve to change it.
Thank you for the video. We are beautiful people, and we'll always be.
