    Hi All,
    Some effective tips for all those who want to quite smoking:

    Do consult your doctor and follow his advice,
    Keep your teeth clean,
    Make your quit day special,
    Put money you would spend on cigarettes in a saving box and plan for a treat tomorrow,
    Avoid going to places where you might find smokers,
    Do start exercise and try to be regular.

    My experience is you won't quit until your ready. I smoked for 25 years before I finally quit. And I had tried several times before 2008 to stop and was unsuccessful. When it was my time, and I was ready, I put the cigarettes down and didn't look back.

    When people are hooked on cigarettes they will spend their last dime on smokes. The choice between food and smokes often turns to cigarettes. When a person wants to quit they will, and when they do they should use some of the tips from Erskine (especially seeing a doctor).

    An uncle who was a heavy smoker told me he quit smoking by changing cigarette brands constantly because they taste different and that made him smoke less and less until he stopped.
