Black Money Business Jobs : Tips about Phone Interviews

I have a phone interview tomorrow, and I have gone online and researched, but I want some info from people who have actually done it. So, if anyone has any tips or recommendations, please feel free to let me know.

Treat a phone interview no different.



  • Sit at a table in a comfortable chair, with your resume, and cover letter
They got the employers interest and ( this employer ) really are considering you at this juncture.
Take notes so you can have a question or two.
After acknowledging yourself.
  • Thank the employer for the opportunity.

Stay positive. Research the company so you can better speak from experience or things related to the job you are familiar with.

Since everything related and that you have done isn't on your resume there may be some additional things you can share when it is time to tell them about yourself.

If your already employed...they always ask.. Why are interested in leaving your current job?
" this opportunity" .. speak on what is different about this opportunity. Any documents you have written, your various projects, or special projects you worked on.

Why is this position available? Is this position available due to growth with in the company? May be a good question. ( reword that your way... )

  • Accomplished ( any $$ savings ) you may have initiated and saved the company... a process or way of doing something )
  • Assisted / Trained and supported - ( projects, others )
  • Improved ( process or procedures )
  • Performed ( well )

One process many companies are trying to use is (5S) everything organized .

  • Remove unnecessary items and dispose of them properly
  • Make work easier by eliminating obstacles
  • Reduce chance of being disturbed with unnecessary items
  • Prevent accumulation of unnecessary items
  • Evaluate necessary items with regard to debt/cost/other factors.
Set in order)
  • Arrange all necessary items in order so they can be easily picked for use
  • Prevent loss and waste of time
  • Make it easy to find and pick up necessary items
  • Ensure first-come-first-serve basis
  • Make workflow smooth and easy
  • Can also be translated as "set in order"
(Shine or Clean)
  • Clean your workplace completely
  • Use cleaning as inspection
  • Prevent machinery and equipment deterioration
  • Keep workplace safe and easy to work
  • Can also be translated as "sweep"
(Standardize)
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organization at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness
  • Maintain everything in order and according to its standard
(Sustain)
  • To keep in working order
  • Also translates as "do without being told"
