Let's say there is something sticky on the kitchen floor. It isn't wet enough to mop us. You don't want to use the broom because you don't want to get the sticky stuff on your only broom. Yet you don't want to mop because the floor needs sweeping. whaddaya do?
Presto!
Use salt. Salt will coat the sticky stuff so it won't stick to your broom. Then you can sweep the floor of debris and mop it clean.
Tip #2
You've spilt orange juice on the floor. The more you mop the wider it spreads until your whole floor is sticky. Whaddaya do?
Run water in the sink. Every time you go over the floor rinse and wring the orange juice out of your mop. It's not enough to just wring the mop into a bucket. The oj has to be rinsed out every time.
